WHO WE ARE

Creating Meaningful Impact

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979 has blossomed into the nation's leading voice on mental health. Today, we are an alliance of more than 600 local Affiliates and 49 State Organizations who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need.

We believe every person makes a difference in our world. NAMI aims to make stressful days a little less stressful. The possibility of recovery and wellness are our greatest priority. MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS

Encourage others to take care of their mental health just as much as their physical health.

MENTAL HEALTH QUIZ

To see if NAMI support groups are right for you, take the mental health quiz to get a head start on your mental wellbeing!

This quiz does not substitute a medical diagnosis, it is strictly to see if NAMI is the right fit for you.

If you or anyone you know is suffering with a potential mental illness, seek a certified medical psychiatric opinion.
